Philo Scoville
The Philo Scoville was a two masted schooner built in 1863 in Cleveland, Ohio. The Scoville was travelling from Collingwood to Escanaba Michigan and was approaching Devil’s Island Channel when a gale came from the northeast. She drifted of course towards Russel island where she dropped anchors, but they were dragged across soft bottom and she ran aground the north shore of Russel island.

The wreck has two major sections: the starboard side and bottom, and many broken pieces. The stem and bowsprit are intact and the mast is mostly intact on the bottom. The anchors are missing from the model and lie 100ft to the east of the main wreckage.
