Forest City
The Forest City is a steamer built in 1870 in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1904, she was travelling from Georgian Bay to Lake Huron when a morning fog rolled in, causing her to drift off course and run into Bears Rump Island. The Forest City remained afloat for several days and many attempts were made to dislodge her. She eventually sank due to water seeping in through the damaged bow.
