ABOUT DIVE LIFE TOBERMORY

Cancellation Policy

At our dive center, all charters, tours, and courses are scheduled in advance and often depend on minimum participation levels and staff availability. Our cancellation policies are designed to be fair to our guests, staff, and crew while ensuring smooth operations.

Public Dive Charters

Our public dive charter boats and captains are scheduled in advance. To be fair to our staff and other guests, we require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for any charter cancellations.

Late cancellations may affect whether a charter can operate, as the number of divers may fall below the minimum required to run the trip. In some cases, other guests may also need to be notified of a cancellation.

Our 72-hour cancellation policy is strictly enforced to ensure fairness to our crew and all booked guests.

Snorkel Tours

Our snorkel tour boats and captains are scheduled in advance. We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for any snorkel tour rescheduling or cancellation.

Late cancellations may affect whether a tour can operate if participant numbers fall below the minimum required.

Our 72-hour cancellation policy is strictly enforced to ensure fairness to our staff, crew, and all booked guests. Rescheduling or cancelling outside of hte 72 hours bears only a 10% processing fee.

Guided Shore Dives

Our guided shore dive professionals are scheduled in advance. We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for any guided dive cancellations.

Late cancellations impact scheduling and other booked divers.

Our cancellation policy is strictly enforced to ensure fairness to our dive professionals and all guests.

Rescheduling or cancelling outside of hte 72 hours bears only a 10% processing fee.

Private Charters

  • More than 90 days’ notice: Full refund, less a $150 administration fee
  • 31–90 days’ notice: Deposit converted to store credit
  • 30 days or less: Deposit and all payments are non-refundable

If the Operator cancels due to unsafe weather or operational reasons, a full refund or rebooking will be offered at the Operator’s discretion.

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)

Bookings are subject to the following cancellation schedule:

  • We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice. Late cancellations impact scheduling and other booked divers. Free cancellation or rescheduling, minus a 10% processing fee for refunds.
  • Within 3 days of start date: the course is non-refundable, rescheduling will incur a fee

Courses

Course bookings are non-refundable and subject to the following rescheduling terms:

  • More than 14 days before start date: Rescheduling will incur a 10% processing fee.
  • 14–7 days before start date: Rescheduling will incur a 25% processing fee.
  • Less than 7 days before start date: Rescheduling is not offered.

Rescheduling is not guaranteed and is offered at the shop’s discretion, subject to availability and applicable fees.

No-Show Policy

If you miss a scheduled class, tour, or dive, no refund or credit will be issued.

Equipment Rentals

Guests are responsible for any loss or damage to rented equipment during the rental period. Charges for repair or replacement will apply where necessary.

Cancellation for Safety Reasons

Cancellations due to safety issues, minimum participation not being met, or crew-related issues are granted without charge.

In this case rescheduling or moving your payment amount to store credit can be offered free of charge. A processing fee of 10% for refunds will apply.
